  • To offset the carbon emissions generated from essential electricity consumption, Tradeport installed solar panels to generate renewable energy.
  • Tradeport encourages the use of electric vehicles to minimise carbon emissions from diesel consumption. It has also installed electric chargers.
  • Tradeport calculates carbon emissions and verifies the data by using the certificate body’s carbon management platform for continuous improvement

Case Study: Enhancing Warehouse Efficiency with LED Lighting Upgrades

We approached a vendor to replace the LED tube inside our warehouse. We chose one section in our warehouse as a trial. This section installed 660 tubes, we reduced the number of tubes by half. Although the illumination level remains the same, the electricity consumption is reduced by more than 80%.

Because the LED tubes can reduce energy consumption effectively, we have replaced most of the T5 and T8 tubes with these new LED tubes in our warehouse in 2024.

To achieve the target of Net Zero by 2050, we are improving our energy efficiency and making long-term investments for decarbonisation. While encouraging our internal culture of sustainability, we also align our decarbonisation goals with all our stakeholders by demonstrating that sustainable practices can lead to profitable outcomes, maintain market competitiveness and ultimately help make our planet a better place for the future.
