Our goal is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, in line with the HKIA 2050 Net Zero Carbon Pledge:

Hong Kong Special

Airports Council International (ACI) World’s long-term goal for the airport industry
Climate change is the most pressing environmental issue for HKIA. As an international aviation hub, the HKIA community drives impactful initiatives to accelerate our transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient airport. Aligned with the HKIA Net Zero Carbon Pledge, these actions are critical for the long term continuity of our business and our social license to operate.
Our airport-wide approach to carbon reduction sets us apart. In 2021, we unveiled the HKIA 2050 Net Zero Carbon Pledge, which now has buy-in from 29 key aviation-related business partners, who work closely with us to reduce HKIA’s direct and indirect emissions.
