AVSECO employs around 4,500 personnel and the company’s primary responsibility is to deliver all necessary aviation security services in accordance with the requirements of the Hong Kong Aviation Security Programme (HKASP) at HKIA on behalf of Airport Authority Hong Kong.

AVSECO is committed to the HKIA 2050 Net Zero Carbon Pledge and has been playing an active role in reducing the carbon emissions of the company.

Carbon Emission Reduction Measures and Strategies

  • AVSECO has scheduled a vehicle electrification plan for replacing existing diesel and petrol vehicles with electric vehicles.
  • The AVSECO headquarters is now operating as a smart office with the adoption of intelligent light management and air-conditioning temperature control systems. In addition, energy-efficient equipment has been procured to reduce energy use. AVSECO is also engaging all staff to adopt energy saving practices by distributing energy saving tips. Staff are encouraged to identify carbon reduction opportunities and share their best practices on energy saving. Mechanism is also in place for management to monitor progress of the carbon reduction targets.
