Sinopec (Hong Kong) Limited

Sinopec (Hong Kong) Limited was incorporated in October 1989. In 1999, Sinopec HK started the business of jet refueling for the Hong Kong airport. In 2004, it entered the refined oil retail market in Hong Kong. In 2007, Sinopec acquired China Resources Group's Hong Kong petroleum business. Since then, Sinopec HK has had a full range of assets for oil and gas storage and transportation, such as oil terminals, service stations and carriers.

Successful in building the largest and most comprehensive service station retail network in Hong Kong, it has emerged as a leading energy supplier in the city and a prominent fuel product trader and service provider in Asia, securing energy supply and powering the way forward for the local economy and people.

Sinopec HK aims to provide better energy for better living. To achieve this, Sinopec HK is actively developing clean energy services, including offering EV charging, hydrogen and biodiesel. Sinopec HK also successfully won the bid for Hong Kong’s first high-speed charging station, marking the beginning of a new phase in the accelerated development of Sinopec’s charging business.

Carbon Emission Reduction Measures and Strategies

  • Implemented EVs, which provide zero tailpipe emissions and could improve the roadside air quality.
  • Offered biodiesel as an option. Biodiesel has a lower exhaustion emission rate than normal diesel fuel, which could reduce the emission of greenhouse gases and improve roadside air quality.
